Varian Inova 500

The Varian Inova 500 was installed in August 1999. The Inova 500 is dedicated to the study of complex natural products, therapeutics, bio-engineered molecules and proteins. The Inova-500 is a 4-channel, 3-axis gradient instrument equipped with waveform generators on all channels, deuterium decoupling, oversampling, gradient shimming, micro-imaging, and magic-angle gradient capabilities for all current biomolecular NMR experiments. Extensive automated methods are available for implementing pulse sequence methodologies from Bax, Montelione and Lewis Kay. Time on the Inova-500 is made available as required to meet the needs of specific research projects throughout the Department.
